Question Do you think this is a female name now?

    Skyler.

I've always loved it as a girl's name (but spelt Skylar or Skylah) but in my search for boys names, found that this spelling is the original spelling of a boys name.

So yeah - originally it was a boys name, now I'm worried that its become to feminine. Do you think of it as purely a girl's name when you hear it, or is it still a unisex name?

I have always thought of it as a girls name despite knowing it was originally a boys name.

Sounds too girly and sweet for me.

I'm trying to remember an old movie (Clint Eastwoods 'any which way you can') and Skyler was a male actors name .

I've only ever heard of Skyler when we started watching Breaking Bad and it's the wife's name. I like it as a girls name and can't really see it as a boys name.

I think Skylar is a unisex name, though I see it as more of a boy name. I wanted it for a boy but DH doesn't like it... so I suggested it for a girl and he still doesn't like it

I've always thought it was a girls name.

Pamela Anderson was in a (short lived) sitcom, her character's name was Skyler.

Hmm never ever heard it before, but i would assume if I saw it on a list and not knowing either way that it was the male version of Skye or Sky (being the female name)...I like it!
