    I read it as a girls name.. but what about Sylar for a boy? Just getting it from Heroes lol.. but i see that more to be boy than Skylar

    There used to be a Skyler at our playgroup (little girl). I had it on a boys list while pg. I think it's uni sex

    I have never known someone by this name but thought 'boy' when I first read it. After reading the thread I can picture it for either.

    I know someone with a 4 yr old girl. Its a pretty name.
    Mmmm...do we know the same person.
    One of my GF's little girl is a Skyler, and yes she is 4 and going to school next year.
    It is a very pretty name.

    Haha! Thats my point - I wanted to know if it was too feminine as a boy's name - meaning I wanted to use it as a boys name.. LOL

    I have never heard it for a boy, only a girl and then it was spelled Schuyler both times.
