All the more reason for using it! My DP has suggested several lovely old-fashioned girls names (if Pipsqueek is of the pink variety) however I'm not keen as they all seem to be really popular already.
My favourite girl's name is a no-go for us cos it just sounds awful with DPs surname (and I'm adamant we'll be using his surname for a number of reasons....). Luckily there's a similar sounding old-style name that goes perfectly - with the added bonus of being Scots-Irish - with DPs Irish surname

Bath, ... my Nana was also a Florence as you mentioned commonly known as Flo for those days, though she was a simple woman & Flo she didn't mind (though myself on the other couldn't stand my surname so changed it thru deed-poll at the legal age of 18 at the time ) ... I went to school with a Harriet she had the exact same hair as you Bath & i remember she loved to dance !!)
