Che was a serious contender for us. I love it!

I love Che, not so keen on Fidel though but I think it could grow on me

See, I don't actually like Che, we're just getting desperate for ideas.

He (if he's a he) *might* grow up into a bearded, cigar smoking revolutionary-cum-dictator... in which case it would be perfect

    I'm not a communist

I just think the name association is very strong, and people tend to have set political ideas. I know when I hear someone called the name of a politician I don't like, it springs straight to mind.

I'm never going to call my kid "Kevin" .

Not a huge fan of Che.
I couldn't get Fidel Castro out of my mind, but I think that none of *his* classmates are going to care two hoots. And *his* teacher will probably be celebrating their 12th birthday as we speak, so will have forgotten who Kevin was, let alone Fidel.

Are you doing ok with girls manes?

Um... wasn't specifically looking for dictators and warlords, but thanks for the suggestions Maybe we could go with Jong-Il...

Actually DH likes Armin, which makes me think of Idi Amin... so maybe there is a theme here.

So it's Fidel as in fidelity? That's cool, thanks. It does kinda grow on you

Lol at the teacher being 12 now... god I"m old

    Funniest post of the week!!

Shame you're not after a warmonger's name because I was going to suggest that if you were after something more contemporary you might want to consider Osama or even Talib.
