    Girl Names

So little Chicken is a Chicken not a rooster!

Narrows down the names, but we still have no idea what we like:

Names I like but cant use: Chloe, Sophia/e, Danielle, Elise, Anais.

I like definite girl names and I think I have decided I don't like names with a male version (hence why Danielle is out)

I don't like strange spelling and I have this thing that the name has to have a certain elegance to it and I like pretty names.

Middle name will probably be Marie.

Hit me! (oh and I am open to other options like Italian, French, Spanish, English etc)

I love baby girl names. In fact, when I was in the dentist's chair freaking out, I distracted myself by coming up with nice girls names I like.

Congrats on another divine little girl! I love the names you can't use. What about Madeline / Madeleine? It's one of my favourite names but I can't use it as hubby has a second cousin called Madeline (that's his excuse anyway).

    Or ...

    Isabelle
    Isabella
    Elisabeth
Emmaline (this is on our maybe list if we have another girl )
    Emily
    Emma
    Loreta

Thanks for the ideas thus far!

I like the name Annalise but DH has vetoed.

At the moment the following names are on the table (thanks to some of your suggestions )

    Isabella
Madelaina(I like Madeline but there is a girl I know who is everything I don't want dd to be!)

I like the names Lucie, Amalie and Elena but DH isn't as fussed.

Too know too many people I think. It cuts out names!

    Any more suggestions?

Ok so we are almost down to single digit weeks to go...eek!

We seem to be leaning toward a.melie or a.malia. Any thoughts? Honest opinions welcome. Is the name to hard, complex, unusual? Does it sound pretty?

It just seems to be the two names we come back to.

I always wanted to use Amelia, but DH didn't like it.

I like both you've chosen but prefer Amelie. I know two of them
