    Liev

    Lief
    Leif

and does anyone know any etomology (sp?) about these? I think the first and last ones are Russian and Norse.

Liev is actually pronounced Lau (like bough) but can also be pronounced Lee-ev.

Liev & Leiv - I would pronounce the same and say it phonetically Liv
Lief & Leif - I would pronounce the same and say it how you would say leaf (as in a leaf on a tree)

having said that, If I was told I was pronouncing it wrong, I would say it how the parents intended it to sound.

Liev is actually writing Lev (the meaning of the name is Heart and the origin of the name Lev is Hebrew).
And the origin of the name Leif is Scandinavian, meaning of the name is Heir.
This is all I know, good luck with naming!
