I think we have her name...

So... we found out our little one is a girl...
After much thinking about wanting a name with meaning, we have come up with:

    Alaska Peyton Mc...

Alaska - as going there and see the aurora was a dream come true for my hubby and it was the last time we were truly happy before our son passed away (still birth)... and having a healthy baby will be another dream come true for us...

Peyton - as it is a mix between my mother's name and my grandmother's name

    Thoughts???

Thanks ladies. We wanted something unique but not too "out there." We figure people name their kids Dakota, Sydney, Atlanta all the time... so why can't we have Alaska..

I think Alaska is a really pretty name! I've never heard it before as a person name, so I think you have definitely ticked the "unique box"

DD2 is Aurora... She is goddess of dawn and sleeping beauty is princess Aurora... But we liked the Aurora that lights up the sky (which is what you saw in Alaska)

    Alaska is a beautiful name

I think Aurora would be a good name as well as it also has meaning for you.

That's actually really pretty - I don't usually like place names either, but it sounds brilliant!

I love it too. I wanted to use a name that is a place as well but it just did not happen. The place is actually named after someone so the name came before the place maybe if there is a number three.

Goodluck with the rest of your pregnancy and meeting your beautiful girl.
