Urgh I hate it when they change their mind. We have a girl's name already, and I've told some people, so if DH changes his mind I'll rip his nuts off.

    Anyhooo (no bitterness here obviously!....)

I don't think the smile thing will work, if he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. (unfortunately).

I think the only "a" name I had on my list was Airlea?

I am all for the viking-type names so I just say tell him to stick it, Arika it is. I also like Arienne.

Some other names I found when googling scandinavian names...................Ara (Aw-ruh), Adisa, Ase, Asta (Aws-tuh), Brinja, Beyla, Disa (dee-sah), Dalla (dah-lah), Eisa (ay-suh), Elja, Edda, Eilina, Eir (goddess name - Ay-r), Eirny, Esja (es-yah), Evja (ev-yah), Eyja, Halla (as in Valhalla), Jora (yoo-ruh), Kata, Kitta, Luta (loo-tah), Runa, Sida (bit iffy on prn of this, see-duh is the most common Ive found), Tora.

    Hope that helps a little!

What if you change the R to an L? Alika?

Its probably made up but it sounds pretty to me... and DD2 may have trouble pronouncing the L part & pronounce it Arika anyway?!
