Every time I read your username (Sorka) I think about the 'Dragon Riders of Pern" series of books by Anne McCaffrey. The funny thing is that in the book she marries a guy called Sean.

For what it's worth, I don't worry about the meanings of names. I think your better off choosing a name you love without even reading about the meaning of the name. That's possibly because I don't put any weight on the "meaning" of the names. I mean, who decided what the meanings were anyway? If I make up a new name do I get to choose it's meaning too? I doubt all people with names that have a meaning like "fair of hair" are blondes. Go with your heart

That's where the name came from Mylitta. My husband (then boyfriend) got me into the series and I loved the name!
I know what you mean about the meanings - I shouldn't have ever looked it up and I would have been fine!

Someone posted the other day about their friend having a new baby called Darcy. Hadn't thought of that name and know I've heard it I adore it! What do you guys think? I think it goes with the other boys names well. But I told a friend and she thought it was a girls name.

What do you guys think is Darcy male or female? Does it flow with the other boys names?

Sean doesn't really rock my world. Maybe because there were a lot Shauns in my generation and I seem to not find names of my own generation very exciting

I like Darcy. I think it's a male name. But more and more male names are being used for girls these days and I think Darcy is being used that way. Doesn't make it not a boy's name though.

Some more that I think match your style:
    Bryson
    Bryn
    Macsen
    Hamish
    Flynn
    Miles

ETA: As for name meanings- I woudln't worry too much either. My son's first name means "Bear of the Gods" which I think is kind of cute but then his middle name means "Gift from God" and as an atheist I thought it was a bit of god overkill but, oh well
