    Baby names!

So with only a couple of weeks to go DH and I are still not decided on names. Not even really a short list!!

We haven't found out wat Bub is which I think is making it harder for us this time cuz we don't feel as connected with any name as it might not be needed itms?

So any ideas or suggestions are welcome! Our ds1 is Sl@ter so we don't want anything too traditional or common. I like laid back/chilled names!

Girls (this is prob the short list) possible middle names are lea,Leah, Jennifer or Amanda (all family names).
    - Jade
    - Jasmine
    - Heidi
    - Chantelle (not too keen on hubby likes tho)

Boys (struggling! List is soo long so ill name a few so u know an idea of what we like) possible middle names are Scott, Anthony or lee, again all family names.
    - Tate
    - Tanner
    - Ashton
    - Corey
    - Chase
    - Clay/clayton
    - Cade
    - Ryder

So hit me with favs or alternatives!!

    Re: Baby names!

I was just at a 1st birthday party and heard a lot of funky names!

The two that stuck were Rocky & Harvey I thought they were gorgeous! On our list for boys (were having a girl though) was Taylor, Cohen & Lincoln..

For a little girl on our list ( we have picked ours though) was Poppy, Elliot, Dylan & Charlotte..
I have always loved boys names for girls.. Pretty much anything works and it opens up a lot more options! E.g Blake, Emerson.. Names I don't like for a boy but LOVE for girls..

Naming is really hard.. But once you hear a name you will both go ok that's the one!!

Looks like you really like last names as given names. Why not look through your family tree and see if there are any last names there you would like to honour? Then the name may have more meaning for you.

I would pick Heidi from your list of girl's names as that's the only one I haven't taught, so therefore the least common. (And sounds the nicest too, IMO.) Or go with Emmalee's suggestion and pick names often given for the opposite gender to ensure that they won't match up with another girl in their class. (I teach quite a few children whose parents have done that, girls and boys.)

    I love Heidi.

I have a Nate, but he was also going to be Cole and Hugh
I know a little guy Taj, which I hated at first, but it's grown on my and I really like it now.
I also love Dash for a boy, but it just doesn't fit with our kids names.

Off your list I like Heidi. I also thought of a variation on Chantelle, Chauntel (So it's said Shon-tell, as opposed to shan-tell), I don't know if you prefer that.

Off your boys list I like Cade.

    Good luck!

My DSD middle name is Tate. Just throwing it in there as an option.
    I like Heidi.
Boy name from your list would be Tanner Lee.
