my little SIL (she's 10) is Ruby Catherine...after her great grandmother Ruby Catherine! I think it works well...although its maybe a bit more old fashioned that the other names you've chosen! I love the names Lilah and Isabel too! I have always loved the name Ruby for the daughter I hope I have one day and truth be told was a little bit disappointed when I decided my DH was potential father material that I wouldn't be able to use it! If we have a daughter one day her middle name will be Jennifer after my DH's mum who passed away 2 years ago - she was an incredible woman and we would like for our child, who most likely would have been her first grandchild, to have a link to her in some way Is there an important woman in your family who has a name you like that would be significant?

I'd go with Ruby Isabel, that's a beautiful name.
But i love Amelia as a first name, Amelia Ruby sounds nice too.
    Good luck with deciding!
I'm off to decide what to call my bubba now lol.

Ruby was our girls name if DS was a girl, I love it, so pretty, but also sophisticated and understated. If we had of had a girl her name would have been Ruby Marguerite. Marguerite was my mums middle name, I think it works beautifully with Ruby, JMIO but I tend to think a short first name needs a longer middle name iykwim?
