My dad is Perry- which i thought was a little old fashion and not common at all- until a few years ago when i heard somebody i know name there child that- he is such a well mannered 10year old (from what i see anyway).

Other older type names i know of- Percy, Colin, Hector, Les (who I'm assuming was Leslie), Harold, George, Alfred, Francis.

Thats all i can think of right now from family and friends, but i also serve alot of elderly clients in my job, so will probably find myself being more aware now of the old fashioned men's names- so if i see any i'll try to let you know.

My grandfather's name is Lawrence Basil, but he is known as Basil. I suggest it only because it could fit with your 'garden' theme (Ivy, Violet...)

ETA: My Nana's name was Hazel

I really like Keith, Dean (though I don't think it's really old fashioned!), Sidney and William-though it's pretty common these days!
