    my little old man

    Hi All

Need some assistance choosing an old fashioned name for my little boy due in October.

I have two daughters who I call my little old ladies because they're named Ivy Hazel and May Violet.

Now I need a male version and am finding it hard!

I don't want a very popular name either.

At the moment my frontrunners are Ted... Ned... and maybe Sam or Harry but those last two are again a little popular for my liking I think.

Anyone have a granddad or great uncle with a cool old fashioned name?

An Italian name would be OK too possibly as it would go with our Italian surname.

    Any suggestions appreciated!

    Thanks chickies!

hmmm brain is struggling at the moment

I used NAME VOYAGER to help me find an old name for DD. It gives you names in their popularity from the 1800s right through to now so you can eliminate names which have been popular in recent years. Very interesting site to look at any how. Just google it.

My dad is Perry- which i thought was a little old fashion and not common at all- until a few years ago when i heard somebody i know name there child that- he is such a well mannered 10year old (from what i see anyway).

Other older type names i know of- Percy, Colin, Hector, Les (who I'm assuming was Leslie), Harold, George, Alfred, Francis.

Thats all i can think of right now from family and friends, but i also serve alot of elderly clients in my job, so will probably find myself being more aware now of the old fashioned men's names- so if i see any i'll try to let you know.
