not crazy at all. Ive known more boys called Ashley than girls in my life. and actually love it as a boys name and hate it as a girls.

Seemed to be quite popular for boys in the 90's. I think it works for either girl or boy although for a boy will probably be shortened to Ash

My brother is Ashley his nickname is ash.
I really like it for a girls name too - Ashlee - but that would be weird if I chose it!

I used to love the name Ashley for a boy but having known way too many girls/women with that name has turned me off it. I do think it is a lovely name though.
