Have you tried writing all of your names down....1st, middle and last, all 4 of you. This is what I did to help make a final decision. It sounds weird, but I guess you will be writing his name down on lots of paper work over the years. Definately saying his name out aloud and also saying it with your other DS's name...

    HTH....Good Luck

Start using it when others are not around and if it still doesn't sound right then you'll know not to use it. With Brock we knew his name was right from the moment we decided on it & we used it from 16 weeks.

Even though I've always had my names picked out well before birth, it is still always weird to say it for a while after they're born. I wouldn't be detered. xo

MUMMY4LIFE - did the write it all down thing and it all works together (I think so anyway )
satya- that was how we felt with first DS's name, he was named at 20 weeks

Thanks to all for their replies... it's nice to know it's not just me! I think it has been so different this time doing the naming thing, that it feels weird. I'm going to stick with the name tho - and just look like a crazy person and say it out loud when no-one is around! Hopefully that way I'll be a little more used to it before he arrives

I found it hard to call our DD her name for the first month after she was born (we still called her Bubble which was her tummy name lol!). I think its normal for it to sound a bit weird at first, and especially when you have those thoughts about "is it the right name" etc.

It's always the case that the name suits the baby after a while... I can't imagine Jazz as anything else now
