Michelle?
HI girls,
We are a bit stuck if we end up having a little girl... we only have 4 weeks to go (and counting!) so any suggestions greatly appreciated!
One of the names we like is "Breagha" (pronounced "Bree-ah"). it is Scottish Gaelic, meaning "beautiful". (My hubby is Scottish and we have given a Scottish name also to our little boy who is almost 3).
What middle names go with it? Love to hear everyone's thoughts!

How about joining the meanings Breagha = beautiful and...
Breagha Kanita - beautiful daughter
Breagha Lalana - beautiful girl
Breagha Keeleigh - beautiful, graceful
Breagha Ramani - beautiful girl
Breagha Talitha - beautiful young girl
Breagha Tanvi - beuatiful delicate girl
I like the sound of Breagha Keeleigh and Breagha Tanvi![]()
Breagha Rhiann
Breagha Louise
Breagha Jean
Breagha Lisette
Breagha Antoinette
These are good suggestions. I really like Breagha Kanita and Breagth Talitha, but you might not like to have both names ending in 'a'. Also, it depends a bit on what her surname will be. A three syllable middle name sounds good if the surname is just one syllable. If it's a longer surname, a shorter middle name might roll off the tongue better.
Breagha Joelle
Breagha Danielle
Breagha Demi
Breagha Emilie
Breagha Marie
Breagha Ariel
Breagha Ariella
Breagha Arwen
Breagha Felicity
Are you looking for a Scottish middle name as well?
How about my name Lorelle ... meaning Little One ... So your daughter's name could mean " Beautiful Little One "![]()
How about Shae - it is an old gaelic name and it means 'from the fairy palace'....
Hey- re: the Shae suggestion, I found that meaning on a couple of internet sites- so its definitely not gospel! And I have heard Shae used for a boy.... either way i think its lovely, and keeping with the Gaelic spirit!! On another website the meaning of Shae (Shea), was listed as 'Admirable'.
At the end of the day, you can't trust alot of what you read on those baby name sites- so if you like it, just go for it I say!
you could have her middle name be named after a scottish (celtic) goddess...
i don't know your surname so it may not fit, but how does...
Breagha Anu sound? (anu is like mother earth, warm and inviting, goddess of plenty)
or
Breagha Cerridwen (cerridwen is the goddess of nature and the moon)
or
Breagha Morgay (morgay is a harvest goddess from the scottish/english border)
or
Breagha Nimue (nimue is a celtic moon goddess and also found in the king arthur mythology)
Thanks heaps guys... there are some lovely suggestions here!
TOTALLY agree with Jellybean
My DD is Brianna Shae.
Breagha Shae sounds beautiful.
