I would treat the name like they have already been named with it even though they are not born yet so you don't waste anymore energy in worry about it ... BUT actually get to ENJOY the name all together (hope that made sense)
I think JYDEN is truely a really, really nice name ... such a brilliant choice ...
My mum was telling me that before i was born she had already picked out names, Lily if i was a girl, and Oscar if i was a boy (yeah i know what your thinking....thank god i was a girl eh). And she said that when i came out, i wasn't breathing because the cord was wrapped around my neck, i was all blue, but i had really pink cheeks, and she said the name just came to her, Sophia Rose. Her nickname for me to this day is Rosebud.
My partner and i have picked out names for our little one, Claire Ivy, if it's a girl, and Tobias Sidney if it's a boy (Sidney being my partners grandfathers name, not my choice) But as my mum keeps saying to me, i can pick out names until the cows come home, but i'll know exactly which name i want as soon as i see that little face.
Love the name Jyden, awesome spin on an old favorite. My cousin Sarah wanted to name her little boy Jackson, but didn't want him to be called Jack, so her and her husband named him Jaxon. Jax is now about 9 months old, and the cutest little man i have ever seen. hehehe
Hi
I'm not really a fan of trendy type names with different spelling. You may find that your boy will be forever having his name mispronounced or asked if he has spelt it wrong (left out the A). He will have to get used to spelling out his name every time his gives it to someone. Sorry to be negative, just seen it happen too many times. What's cute and trendy now might not be when he is a grown man.

I like it! i dont think it would be mispronounced & if i heard it thats how i would spell it.
Bodhi had a few different names. A week b4 he was born there were still 3 names that we couldnt make a decision on. As soon as we saw him we knew he was a Bodhi.
Was the same with Mya-Rose. She didnt have a name for about 2 days. In the end we chose her name as its my name spelt different & Rose is my middle name
We thought about doing that with Bodhi but coz daddy's name being Leon, the only name we could come up with was Noel------neither of us was that keen on that name haha!
We had Archie's name picked out from before conception, and we loved it all the way through pregnancy, however, when he was born i had doubts that the name suited him, I thought he looked like an Alex. So for the first few months I just called him Baby. Sonce then he has really grown into his nme and I love it!
I know it is a "non-traditonal' name but that's why we like it! If we were all the same, then the world would be a bit of a boring place... I too have a trendy (unusual) name, and love being different, hence the reasoning behind our babies names...
We will probably get the "Jayden" thing, but I'm sure we'll be able to deal with it.
I think I've been feeling weird about it as we haven't told anyone the name, and so haven't said it out loud... well we'll see in a few weeks if he is indeed a Jyden or not !
