Love it or hate it? Nora or Norah?
I've been throwing it around a bit lately and I think it's very pretty, feminine and goes well with potential middle names (Rose and Catherine).
DP suggested Rosemary last night... because he likes it on his roast.![]()

Nora is a stalker. Bloody Nora. She kills my life.
Not my cup of tea. I don't find it to be a feminine name, but that's just my opinion![]()
I only found out that this was my Great Grandmothers Name recently - I think it is a very pretty old fashioned name![]()
Anyone who has kids at primary school age will know one of the first jokes they get and retell ad nauseum is -
Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Nora
Nora who?
Nora Bone (cue hysterical giggles)
Yeah. Nah.
15 years ago DH broke up with Nora because she was too clingy. Every now and then she pops up and stalks him for a while. Saturday nights after a few drinks is her favourite time to call. Her personal best is about 30 calls in a day. Her real name is Leanne but Nora is one of the fake names she has used to trick Dh or his staff into returning her calls.
I don't mind it. I think Nora looks more modern than Norah. Reminds me of Dora the Explorer :-)
I have a meddling old Auntie Nora. she puts me off the name. If you met her you'd never call your child Nora.![]()
I have an utterly adorable Aunt Flora.
My nan was Mabel Norah and hated her name!! Lol it's so in fashion now she must be laughing in heaven![]()
love norah...
