A neighbour's boy is called Tyne (after the river). Bit different but not weird.

We had Patrick Mackenzie picked out for a boy. Mainly because Mackenzie means "son of the handsome one" (see my sig)

Forget the first name - do you have the J-middle name thing going on for this new lad? How's the hunt for that one going?

Paedrag, Brian, Sean, Caspar... any of those any use?

    Some different suggestions there, thanks

Niven - How do you say it?
    Pronounced Neh-Ven, sounds like Kevan.
Ailean (pronounced E-lun) means "rock" or "nobel" - Gaelic
I've only ever heard of it as E-lun
Torquil (pronounced Tor-call) means Thor's helmet - Not sure I like the sound of it in my head but DH would love the meaning.
I know this one is a bit out there, makes me think of the Black vulcan from Star Trek, hehe

Another one I thought of was Shae, pronounced Shay, means "Hawklike - graceful, free, courageous", is also Gaelic

We had Irish/Celtic names all picked out for these boys - Liam & Cale (can also be spelt Cael or Kael) but DH has now said no to Cale so it looks like we are now going with Liam & Rhys (although Rhys is Welsh the names still go together).

Good luck with the name, I've found it hard to find boys names I liked.

Boys names suck! LOL especially when I already have 3. Middle name will probably be Jeremy but not 100% yet.

Rhys kinda made it way on the strong possibility list last night. Both DH & I like it. But today I seen a "name tag" with Rhys on it.... I know its silly but you can't get (that I have ever found) any of my kids names on those premade name things & we like that. So Rhys might be too popular for us.
    But I really don't think I am a Mum to a Ronan. . . . .
