I'm a fan of Anna, would you consider that old school?? I just think it's so pretty and elegant.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE old school names. There's something so charming about the tradition and heritage behind them. They really are timeless.
I would love to hear your favourites for boys and girls!

I love old school names too. Especially Es and Ms. Eleanor, Evelyn, Edith, Elizabeth, Margaret, Martha, Mary, Maeve (Ok, some not that old school, but that was our whole list for DD)
Others I loved, but couldn't have, were Beatrice, Iris, Pollyanna, Daisy.
And for boys: Percy, George, Robbie, Henry, Patrick.
I'm married to a Peter

i LOVE "little old" names - have had quite a few conversations at work with Mum's who cop flack for giving their kids older names - but i think they are gorgeous! I think a generation of "little old men" and "little old lady" names is in order lol
in terms of names in particular - Girls - Emerald (well duh!), Rose, Ruby, Pearl, Iris, Lily, Audrey (so many more, but i can't think!)
for boys - Thomas, Charles, Harvey (DH's dad's names lol), Edward, Robert (my grandfather)
i tend to like names that are uncommon, but not too out there. and ones with family links or meaning to the parents as well.
my job has me seeing a whole range of names, and i'm always more drawn to the older names for some reason
My girls names are Carol and Susanah
Hazel.
My first cabbage patch doll's name was Hazel - LOVE!
BG - totally agree that a little old ladies and gents generation is in order! I also like the ones that are uncommon but not too out there. A family name of mine is Stella (my great grand aunt who lived to be 113 - and subsequently saw 3 generations being born in the late 1800's and passing in 2003).
My DD's name is Annabelle - I consider that kind of old school, the only other one I've met is in her 60s
If we have another girl, Evelyn is at the top of the list!
i had someone on the phone the other day upset because she named her son Edward (i think) - and EVERYONE asked her about being a Twilight fan - she HATES twilight - the name had meaning for her! popular culture can mess with great names sometimes! lol
i love Temperance as a name - have for a long time - but i suspect if we used it, most people would assume it's because of BONES - not just a name we really like lol
I vote for Hazel!
