Bella - hush now, just because you know DD's name, no cheating
But thanks hun![]()
I don't think it matters a skerrick. If you like the name, then use it!
Our #1 shares a name with a celebrity (who he was not named after at all), and after he was born we found out he has the same middle name as this celebrity too!Ah well. They do sound good together.
Also, completely OT, but I googled skerrick to make sure I had the spelling right, and it seems like it's an Australian word...that's cool...we have our own word. Right, back to normal programming now!
It's not Mia and Cruz is it cos they are awesome names... lol
We have always known if we have a boy it will be Jack and a girl it would be Amelia or milly for short. However I just realised there is a clothing brand called Jack and Milly... lol
oh well if we have a boy next he will still be Jack..lol
LOL Nelle you're a crack up
I do love the word skerrick... and now I know how to spell it
Mrs H, no its not Mia and Cruz, tho yes I agree they are lovely!!!
I wouldn't have gotten the Jack and Milly ref! Maybe I'm stressing over nothing...
I wouldn't stress i am sure even if someone picks it then just act suprised....""oh yeah you know i never realised, great minds think a like" unless you are known to be obsessed with this celeb couple then it won't be an issue i guarantee you .
Absolutely not obsessed with them.
Thanks for the reassurance![]()
I Love Shiloh!!! I would use i. Anyway i didn't get the Australian names reference... I have been thinking and all I could think of was Sunday.
OT: Skerrick is used mostly in Aust and NZ but is from and old Yorkshire dialect.
Grandson 1 has a beautiful name and unusual name. When I was told it I had no idea who the celeb was who had the same name. That might be due to my age or I didn't care that they had the same name. He was named because his parents liked the name.
Don't worry about the names you have picked out. If you really like them when asked all you have to say is you used the names because you liked them.
Nelle, skerrick needs to come back as a word![]()
My #2 is going to be Cruz - i honestly wouldnt worry about the whole celeb thing. There your bubba'schoose the names you like.
Good Luck Hun xxxx
Totally agree with everyone else. TBH, since becoming a mum, I don't have time to keep up with my own life so who cares about the celeb's lol! Pre-baby, it might have clicked (not knowing who the celebs are you're talking about, I have no clue lol) but if they are common names, who would notice? And if they do, bugger em. Obviously they need a hobby!
Who gives a rats really>
Its important that you like them. If someone else liked them that just means they have good taste too.
When DS1 was born I had people assuming I had chosen his name because a celebrity (two i think) had used it for their child. One relative even told people that I had "copied" her (the celbrity) because I was obsessed with American things.
Funny, its a German name. LOL
Plus I had no idea that this celebrity had a child let alone one withthe same name.
So I guess Im saying even if other people do make a connection, thats their issue not yours.
I say if you love the name, go for it. Celebrities fade out eventually and not many people know celebrity kids' names. (Unless it's Apple and Moses)
