    Single syllable names

Hi There!! I'm hoping you may be able to help me think of a middle name. I am trying to find middle names that are only one syllable that would sound nice after Mathilda. So far I have:

    Jade
    Joy
    Mae
    Fay

And that's about as far as I get! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Ooo thanks for all the fab replies!!! So many good ones to choose from. Jewel is a lovely one too I just dont know yet. Bub's surname will be a two syllable ending in 'y', like 'happy' so I'm really conscious that I dont want her name to rhyme with that. Shame because I really love the first name Ruby......... We dont actually know if we are having a boy or girl, but I tihnk we've got the boy name sorted. DH is pretty firm on that one - James Martin, or James Hagen. I LOVE Finnegan for a first name but DH just wants James, and I figure he should get some say in it all

I'm guessing that Jay is out of the question because I think that sounds nice... Mathilda Jay.

    Good luck with the names

I really prefer Matilda, as people might prononced Mathilda as Math-il-da when its really said the same as Matilda.

    Matilda Grace is very pretty.
    Matilda Paige is also lovely.

I don't think you will have any problems with pronunciation, this name is commonly spelt Mathilde/Mathilda in Europe with the same pronunciation.

Yes, I like the spelling Mathilde or Mathilda as its the traditioonal German name, which is a nod to my father.

If I got my way DD would have been Matilda Sage, DH has now promised that our next DD will have Sage as her middle name.

I also love Mae, if I choose a name next that doesn't go with Sage, Mae will be the middle name.
