Question Struggling with a girls name!!

    Hi guys,

    Just after your opinions...

Hubby and I have had no dramas picking a boy's name, in fact we knew what we wanted before we were even married (yep sounds weird, but it was just one of those random conversations)

But...when it comes to naming a girl, things have been a lot harder. I have picked heaps of names and there have been heaps that hubby has knocked back (which I don't mind) but when I ask him for some suggestions, he's not very forthcoming. Im not sure if it's coz he's hoping we're having a boy, even tho I know he'll be stoked whateva it is

But it means that the few girls names he has suggested, i have felt really bad knocking them back coz i don't want him to lose interest. He has said a few times that he is happy for me to 'just pick a name' but i really don't want him to be stuck with a girls name that he hates

Any suggestions, or can anyone commiserate (sp?) with me?

What were his/your suggestions maybe we can think of some combination...
    Any middle name picked out?
My fav girls names lately are Cassidy and Campbell. I know Campbell is usually thought of as a boys name but so is Charlie and there are loads of little girls with the name

Thanks for your feedback!! I think we may have had the break-through conversation over the weekend and we now seem to have a girl's name that we agree on :woohoo:

Now I've just gotta hope that when bub pops out, we don't think "Wait on, she doesn't look like a *insert name here*" coz then we'll be back to scratch

I know how hard it is to pick a name but my hubby and I were the opposite...we had a girls name and couldn't pick a boys name!!!

First of all, I think it's great your DH obviously trusts you enough with the big decision of the name! How sweet!

What about if you just do up a small list - say 3 names first and middle- that you like, and leave it up to him when your baby is born? That way you'll both have input in the name game...

How about suggesting a family name (mother, sister, grandmother) from DH's family?

Wow thanks so much for all your suggestions!! I think we've finally picked it...

    Sienna Belle

I adore Sienna, and Belle was hubby's choice so it's really starting to grow on me.

I'm not sure whether we need to think of a backup - we haven't bothered for a boy's name coz we're adamant that we know what we want. But I just can't imagine looking at a new bubb and thinking that it did or didn't look like a particular name, however people keep saying that it does happen... *sigh* this pregnancy business is complicated
