I dont want to put a dampener on name choosing, but....

To me, Kiefer sounds like some North London gangster type cant pronounce Keith. Like "hey, Keef-uh, watchoo looking at?" etc

Btw- a dear friend of mine once told me the name she preferred for her unborn son. Apparently I said I didnt like it, which was churlish if me. She reminded me years later when I insisted I had always like the name, it suited him, she must have misheard me etc. What we may like or dislike today may change tomorrow.

So long you're not mangling the language with illegible spelling or weird-ass punctuation, name your kiddies what you like.
