Are these names too alike for sisters?

Okay so it's not confirmed yet but we're pretty sure Number 3 is another little girl.

DH and I choose names fairly instinctively, we throw names around until we get the one that "feels" right. This has been quite an interesting method because we have wound up with names that we love but would never have thought that we would have chosen. DH tends to be more picky and conservative than me but we always give each other "right of veto" over the other's suggestions...if we don't both love the name then it's not the name.

So we have chosen our name for our potential DD2 - Chloe. But DD1's name is Sophie.

I am surprised at how much I like Chloe (and Sophie for that matter) - but they just feel perfect.

Do you think Sophie and Chloe sound a bit too....rhyming? Kinda like Ben and Ken, Trista and Krista sort of thing??

Not at all! Maybe both slightly 'french' themed but that's nice. I was expecting to see Hayley and Kaylee or something PS - Beautiful names too.

No, I don't think they are too similar. They are both beautiful.

Practice saying the names together and apart. See if you get them confused, and that might help you decide.

I was only telling my DP yesterday whilst sitting in a food court sucking on our cold drinks looking at a shop selling perfumes near by that had lots of boxes of Chloe parfum sitting on the counter, telling him that i remember how Chloe the name suddenly became popular as a name, i years ago saw an interview of Olivia Newton-John mentioning that she named her DD after the Chloe parfum ... (anyway, a bit of trivia there )

Sophie and Chloe sounds just GORGEOUS together

I think they sound perfect together and both beautiful names. I have an Emma and love Anna for a potential future DDs name but that is too close lol

I knew a family with 3 girls: Molly, Sophie and Chloe. I thought the names were all suited to the one family. Very sweet names!

I have a Maria and Sofia and though they rhyme and it can be confusing I wouldn't change their names for anything
