    Thoughts on Alice and Eliza

    Morning All

DH came up with the name Alice last night. I actually like it and hadn't thought of it before. There is also Eliza that I am keen on.

What are peoples thoughts? Eliza? Alice?

I am spending so much time thinking about girls names that I bet I have a boy!!

I really do love the name Alice.

Sorry but I personally am not a fan of Eliza, may have something to do with a snotty nose girl in my nephews class though .

My Mum named my sister Elise after my grandmother Alice ... Mum wanted a bit more of a modern sound to it ... Hence my DD's middle name is Elise

Elise has been very common as a middle name for years ... so, i would stick with Alice or Eliza ... Must admit i do like ALICE

I have an Eliza, its nice to hear comments on it. Not for a minute could I think of a better name for her. She also is an Eliza Jayne...I have never had an issue with 2 kids having the same name at swimming or gymbaroo.
So I love it and it was the only name my husband and I could agree on

IMO Alice is old fashioned, but it is pretty

Thanks everyone - really appreciate your replies.

Think that I have the two names I like now so just have to decide. I prefer Eliza but DH prefers Alice. I think we can come to an agreement though. Now just need to work on names for boys.

Honeychild - no need to apologise about liking neither. That is a good thing as if everyone liked the same there would be no variety. Goodluck in narrowing down your decision.

I love Eliza, I have a niece named Eliza and she's the only one I've ever met (if you dislike popular names and that sorta thing is important). My sister lives in Perth and has only ever met one other.
