I think it's an awesome name! and even better to keep it in the family and name him after your grandfather!
So i'm wondering if there are some names that are too old fashioned?
I really want to name our next son after my grandfather....his name was Edwin.
I would like to put it as a second name because too me I just can't stand the nickname 'ed' and also I just can't quite see how the name would go because i have never ever heard of anyone being called that before....
DH however really likes it as a first name.
Our first son's name is William, and my husband is John. Both are traditional names ~ so in our home it doesn't seem out of place but i'm just not sure overall whether I like it as a first name or not.
What do you think of it?
FWIW my grandfather got nicknamed Jim.
I think it's an awesome name! and even better to keep it in the family and name him after your grandfather!
I love it!
I love it !
Love it!
Yes my son is named after his dad & grandad (they all have the same three names swapped around) & the rest of the names we like for boys and girls include as many family names as possible but with their own spin....i.e my mum is 'Leanne', I am 'Kirsty-Lea' and so another girls name we have picked out is 'Kaeleigh'....keeping the theme running. so it's still individual but with a bit of tradition. I think tradition is special.
Thanks btw![]()
