my partners name is spelt Joschua so i just asked him if it was annoying having a "random" letter in his name and he said it is annoying but he's used to it.

My bf's name is Tanjil (Like the river in gippsland) and she absolutely hates it when she tells people her name they usually reply no your first name then she tells them her last name with is a 5 syllable monstrosity and she cannot stand it at all.

she gave her kids short traditional names so they didnt have to throuh what she went through.

I personally love unusual names but cannot stand ridiculous spellns like pp have said small variations are ok but names like taylor that now have about 3000 spellings is kind of crazy imho
