I know a beautiful little girl at DS's Childcare who is the palest little thing I have ever seen and her name is R y s h a n i which is of Indian origin.

A name is what you make of it. I think you should call your baby what you wish.....but maybe not Hashtag :P

Using ethnic names for caucasian children?

Love Nakoa!! I say go for it. I have an Austrian first name, and a Maori middle name and I'm Caucasian. No one will know the ethnicity of your chosen name so choose one you love.
Also, having an unusual name often creates conversation and connection. My name is very unusual and that's been my experience.
