is it an unusual name?? I would say unless the name is really rare I would use it. If you feel that it is her name then go for it!
So we have found out that baby no 4 will be another little girl. Surprisingly hubby and I actually agree on a name at this stage. The only glitch being that one of the mum's where my son goes to kindy has a little girl with the same name. I'm wondering does that make it a bit weird. We aren't really close friends but its a small town so I have know her since my son and hers were babies. They will be going to the same school next year and her youngest and my dd will also be in the same class. So our families will always be in close contact. Do you think it's ok if we have the same name or should I trying to find another name.

I think it's inevitable (unless you choose something really unusual) that there'll be similar name choices within a community and you're likely to know someone who's chosen the same name... So no. It's not weird - though how the other mother takes it is, of course, up to her!
Picking the same name as a first cousin or the child of your bestie - weird. Anything else is ok in my book.
I would say it's fine. Who's to say you'll always be in close contact? Someone may move in the future!
It's not a rare name, not these days anyway. Thanksjust needed someone else's opinion.
I dont think its weird. I say use the name you want![]()
Our dd1 has an uncommon name. In her school there is one other child with the same name and of course happens to be in the same year. In her grade she has 2 Emma's, 2 Riley's and 3 Dylan's (one of whom is a girl) - everyone copes so I say go for it.
If its top 50 it's fair game. Otherwise, I'd think about something different.
I agree. Not weird at all.
Could you share your choice with us or are you keeping it secret?
When I was in year 2, we moved to Canberra for a couple of years - there were 4 Kelly's in the class. When we had class visitors she made us all stand up lol. So it was seen as a funny thing, not bad.

I would use it, but then I'm someone that doesn't understand the 'ownership' of names.. A name is a name.. If you like it use it.. When someone names their kids the same as me, I just know they have good taste![]()
I'm going to go against the grain and say I would change it. Then again I'm all for originality and I'd really hate for my DS to have the same name as another kid in his class etc. Of course I know he isn't the only one in the world with his name..... but it's reasonably rare, which is why I like it.
Of course if you're okay with it, then go for it!
i would totally use the name and would not worry about some other kid with the same name.
Another fan of AddisonI'd definitely use it..
I'd use it![]()
I think it's popular enough now that it won't matter at all.
