We only agree on one name, Pheonix for a boy, but I have been told it is becoming popular for a girl which makes me a little reluctant to use it. Oh and we both like Hunter, but DH's past time is pig hunting so I just don't even want to go there.
DH LOVES Ace for a boy, which I tried so hard to like, but I just don't. Don't like anything about it.
As for girls names.... He doesn't want to even think about it!
Here's a few names I like
Kade
Euan
Cowen
Payten
Willow
Maya
I would love some ideas to go back to DH with! I just don't know what to do, I feel like we are getting no where. I know I am only 10 weeks, but we have been talking names for over a year now and have made no head way.
Things we want in a name - We do not want our kids to go to school with other children of the same name, but don't want something completely out there either!
-We can not have any J, K, or T names (dues to too many in the fam already!)
-Our surname is long and begins with a K
-Our daughter's name is Tiera (pronouced like Kira with a T or like the tier of a cake)
I have a friend who named her little girl Mahalia (ma-har-lee-a) The name has grown on me but i found it really unusual to start with. Now I like it. Could be biased though, she's a cute kid
Thank you for your help ladies. When it comes to spelling I am completely open and haven't thought a lot about that just yet as getting DH to agree with me on names is just proving impossible!
Keep the ideas coming, DH still hasn't said he even likes any as yet
pish, if he's anything like my dh, he'll need to know what it is before he can even consider any names as a reality. I'm sure it's something to do with the baby actually existing once knowing what it is. As my dh is getting to a point of being able to feel the movement he's becoming more involved in considering baby names so it's a lot more exciting for both of us but he's still convinced that there is no name that is 'beautiful enough' for his little girl!
Your names are great . I really like Payten and think it sounds really nice together with Tiera. I like Kade for a boy, but you said you don't want K names! Phoenix is so cool and I've only heard of it as a boy's name
I like names that aren't that "popular", but not too out there too. A girl's name on my list (but DH didn't like it) was Isla. I love Kai for a boy, but it's another "K" name LOL!
Good luck deciding! I can't wait to hear the final verdict one day
Trish!!!! I have preg brain already!!! lol Yep, Kade is a K name and thats why DH don't like it.
I LOVE Kai and Nate, but they are my brother's GF's kid's names (wow that was a mouth full!)
SmallfryPlus - DH is dead against finding out the sex of the bub, but you might very well be right about him getting more involved when bub is moving and he can feel it, etc! I just need to be a little more patient don't i?!
I'm so glad you all think of Pheonix as a boys name, maybe we may still use it and as for Peyton, I might just need to push it a little more and hopefully talk him around!
I Love Maya for a girl and Phoenix is a great name too, i dont know anyone called phoenix be it boy or girl, if you love it go for it, i wouldnt worry about what other people have said
Pish, I have Pheonix on my list - for a boy too! But DP and I already have a baby name list of names we both like. Basically we just have a word doc that we add to or remove names as we think of them. We have about 15 names of each sex on there. Admittedly, we did start the list when we fell preg the first time. DP didnt get into the name list until she realised he could take off the names he really doesnt like and I could do the same. He is also really cute and made his own little thing and put a astrix next to the names which could only be a middle name. I should point out that my DP still hasnt really accepted the preg (cos we lost the last one) and sounds a bit like your man - he rolls his eyes when I am sick - but he likes the list! Just an idea - gee I ramble! Sorry
Umm...I really like Pheonix and Willow! I also like Hunter for a boy - we must have similar taste. What about Harper for a girl and Asher for a boy. They are also on my list. I also like Indianna and Kayla/Jayla but have both names in my family DOH!
