    What about India for a girl?

    Hi girls,

    As you know our two fave names are Sienna and Isabelle but I still keep thinking about Indianna/India, what do you think? Variations? Thanks

    ... you will probably laugh at me but i always think if i was gonna name a child a name that is like a country it's best i have at least visited there eg, China etc ... although i have to say i like the sound of India as a name

    I have a friend with an Indiah and another with an Indiana, both girls.... I love Indi for short! Less popular then the other names you like I think?

    Gorgeous i know a little girl called indianna, shes gorgeous little girl, for short they say indi, which is cute

    I remember one of the mums at school called her baby India and i thought it was terrible LOL But now she is in yr 6 I am so used to it and she is such a great kids that i really like it.

    I really like the suggestions Indira and Indra, a nice alternative to India which is far more common these days. And the NN Indi is not too bad either.

    DS1 would have been India Lily of he'd been a girl.

    I love it and also like Indah which I think is Indonesian.

    My neice who is 7 is an Indya. Her full name is Indya Leigh. She gets called Indy or Indy-pindy and sometimes Ins. Its a lovely name.
