The only Ellie I know is a Danielle.

Elanor & Eliza are two lovely ones that I think go lovely with your DD name. Does your DH have any he likes, I think I remember you saying he likes traditional names.

I've known two Ellie's, one was Ellé (pronounced ellie) and the other was ellanah.

What can 'Ellie' be short for?

My niece is Ellie Mae (first & middle name) her family nickname is Elmo, but she does get Elle as well.

Friend's of ours have an Eloise who gets Ella Bella which I think is super cute and you could easily shorten it to Ellie too
