Do you ever call Amelia Millie though? I wouldn't want to have a Millie and Billie.
Most of the time she gets Milly more than Amelia But I don't mind rhyming nicknames (or one nickname, one full name, as may happen) so it's not an issue for me

Crazy out of the box thinking. ..but can you name her officially something random but still just call her billie. Ypu know Spocks real name, she very rarely get it, she gets called lou most of the time which is a fair bit different to her real name.

That doesn't help you when picking a name tho =p

Similar to TT40, I know a girl named N.icole who gets called Lu/Lulu because her middle name is L.ouise.

You can call her what you like really, if Billie is in honour of your Uncle and you really want it, I say do whatever to call her that - officially or as a nickname. That said, I really like the Lillian option.

I should mention that Uncle Bill's name wasn't even Bill or William His middle name was William, and he started going by Bill because he haaaaaaated his real first name. If anyone ever dared call him that or a derivative of it, they would get the death stare. So of course my dad and their brothers would do it to rule him up So it's feasible we could just call her Billie without her name being remotely related. But I'd prefer if it was

Could you do the same thing as your uncle and use Billie as the middle name?

You know, until you said this, I'd forgotten that I suggested that to DH a few weeks ago when I started thinking I wasn't keen on our original name It does sound better that way around, too...

    Wilhelmina

Or Princess Consuieilla Peepee Bananahammock III.

    Either or.

Wilhelmina means "willing to protect" or "firm defender". So when she's grown up she can be a defence attorney.

This is the same our DS2. He is a Will.iam but we call him L.iam for short. While it's a legit nickname We still get asked if it's one or the other..

Good luck with finding a name! Pity Belinda is out..
