oh, I just read the posts, i was KIMB who had talked about the name! Amazing how that happens. My sister met a woman once, and she had never heard of that name before and the next day I named my baby the same name!

I have never heard of it as a name but it is pretty...old school and different but pretty
Not sure I am completely sold on it though. I think it's a name that would really grow on you...

What a pretty and unique name Temperance is, i truly like it !

Why not just * Temperance Claire Jones * !!

(i'd be careful with the name you chose before Claire so it's not sounding like Eclair, IYKWIM !)

I like it as the full name - very elegant and feminine - but I'd worry the shortened version would be 'temper?' You know how everything gets shortened!! Just a thought, but the full name is beautiful.

    Thanks ladies......

Smiles - I never thought of that. Totally know that u mean, I think thats why I like Temperance Edith Clair Jones.

Sally, BG, Pandora. - I couldnt think of any nick names but I like Tempie and Tam. We have two Alexis' in the family and one is Lexi and the other is Ally....And I agree with Pandora, kids think of several nick names.....Myself I get called Milly by my family, Mealz by friends from school and Mia from some other ppl.....that all from the simply name of Amelia. Lol.
