I must be really tired this morning because I misunderstood the title of this thread and thought "OMG, who on earth would want to call their child Alliteration"

As for names, my father and his father have the exact same names. When my Grandmother is calling out for one of them, or asks a question, they both know who she is calling. Apparently she says it in a different tone. I never know, so end up saying something like "Dad, nan asked you a question!" and he replies that she was asking Grandad, not him. DH's father and his Grandfather also have the same names - but the Grandfather died before DH and I met. They lived together their whole lives, so I have no idea how that worked! Post must have been a nightmare.
