Harper is on our list too. So was Kira until DH's mate, that also has a boy named Byron, called is DD Kira. So that's off our list! Those two are my votes

oooh now i'm torn! We decided to tell some close family members about our name choice, and I like getting feedback (I figure if someone can put me off it now, then I'd rather know now than after she's born!). BUT, SIL doesn't like Fae... and tbh, "Fay" as a name is not something that would normally ever appeal to me. SIL reckons she'll get teased for it regardless of how we spell it.

DH actually prefers Ivy, as does SIL and now i'm wondering whether I should be trying to find something I LOVE rather than something that goes with the first name IYKWIM. Can anyone think of anything else that might work?

    I've just come up with:
    • Beth
    • Bree
    • Dawn
    • Jade (I like but DH won't have a bar of it)
    • Sage
    • Sky
    • Star
    • Zahli
    • Zia

I said I wanted feedback but now I'm feeling so unsure! Arrrgh! Plus not having a middle name myself, the whole concept is just a bit foreign to me... I've only ever been teased about the lack of one, not for having a bad one!

    TIA
EDIT: DH just suggested Raven or Willow.

Well I really love the Names Zahli and Sky! I think I said those before.
Also Sage and Dawn are lovely names too!

A friend Of mine had a bub and named her Willow and one of my best friends names is Willa. I think they are both beautiful names.
    Good luck

Oh noes! I've just googled Annika + our last name... and there already is one!!! She's a 30yo in the UK. This is a major stumbling block for me, as I really wanted her to be unique!

I'd almost talked myself into Ivy as a mn...but now I have NO idea!!

Maybe I shouldn't let this matter... but I've always had a unique name and I loved it. I wanted my little girl to be the same! My DS's name is unique, but there's a few floating around with hubbies firstname/surname combo.

I'm biased for Willow....haha. But not sure if tht'd work as a middle name.

I think whatever you go with you need to LOVE. As for nickname i think people will shorthen or lengthen anything.

Seth to Sethy, Annika to Ne-ka - if you know what i mean, so thats really a tricky one.

If you use initials regulary i think it's something to concider, if not then as long as it's not rude, cruel or nasty anything goes.

    Good Luck.

hehe I had to laugh when I saw your username, I wondered if you'd be suggesting Willow

I agree that people will shorten or lengthen anything and at the end of the day, we've gotta go with something we love. It's funny, the poll is now 20 in favor of Fay to 10 for Ivy. But I think we're going for Ivy anyway (rebels without a cause, that's us ).

    Thanks!
