I actually really like the name and well if I didn't live 1 1/2hr inland of Calliope the town I would have it on my list![]()
Kalliope is a traditional Greek name meaning "beautiful voice". In Greek mythology she was a goddess of epic poetry and eloquence, one of the nine Muses.
I am pretty sure in Greek it is pronounced Kal - ee - oh - pee, but a friend with that name goes by the name Kalli.
I prefer spelling with the K to distinguish it from the Qld town.
OMG please don't hate me BUT i also instantly thought of Calypso icypole ... i actually pronounced it the same way when i first read your name there
Of course i love a name starting with C ... as my DD's name starts with a C![]()
