ABA slings....

There is 15% off slings on the Mothers Direct website at the moment to celebrate baby wearing week!!! And I want to buy a new one!! Help me choose please

I have a Hug a Bub that I use but I'm not that keen on it as it is very hot for me to wear as I tend to over heat quiet easily, especially in this weird heat we have for this time of the year!! Also, my DD overheats easily too so we are both a bit hot in it when I'm wearing her. Also, I find it hard how I have to put her down to be able to put it on.....that's my main reason I want a new one. I also have a basic sling that just goes over your shoulder like a peanut sling and i love that for quick trips to the shops as she sits on my hips.... but this one im looking at below is for longer wearing....

I am looking at the ABA Cool Sling, the ABA Mei Tai and the ABA Simplicity Sling.... which one would suit me??? I want to be able to hold DD while I am putting it on me!!

Does anyone have either one of these that you can recommend to me to purchase?
They look cooler, less material.....

I NEED one that can be put on WHILE I am holding my DD and not having to put her down..... sometimes when you're out and about, it's very difficult to find a place to put DD down to put the Hug-a-Bub sling on.... I do like the hug a bub but I'm still looking for something better...

Hmm I think Ava will still have to be put down to put on any of those carriers????

I used to put the HAB on before i went out and just wear it untill DS needed it??? the only one that i have been able to hold him and use is the ergo????

but in saying that I do like the cool sling...looks comfy!

Yes, it might be hard to put on any of those while still holding your darling. We have an ergo (amazing!) and we find we can hold our daughter whilst putting that on.

If you're interested in the Mei Tai, I actually bought one months ago that I tried on only once - would you like it? I'd be happy to give it to you as we're trying to clear out all the baby-related paraphernalia that we have accumulated. If you are interested, just send me a message; a free sling would save you even more money than one bought in the sale!

I thought with a clip Meh Tai like the ABA one they have, you could clip it on around your waist while still holding your baby/child? I'm sure i've seen someone do it.....

I just find the HAB a bit too fiddly for me!! Too much length LOL

Hun, how often do you get up to Brissy? The store in Coorparoo should have them all in stock so you could try them to see if they are what you want. Otherwise the staff there know the stock really well, so you could even ring them and ask those questions and see what they say.

I think you would usually need two hands with the clip ones, but you might be able to leave the clip done up and step into it - I'm not sure.

A lovely BB member sent me the Meh Tai ABA sling to try out and it wasn't for us. Not enough padding in the shoulder straps and they aren't wide enough for comfort.... my shoulders ached within 2mins of putting it on.....and DD cried in it!

Today we ordered an Ergo Baby Carrier after hearing and reading many great reviews about them and I can't wait to get it
