    Question Breastfeeding with a sling

What is the best sling for discreet BFing?

Bub's feeds still take about an hour each and so far I've planned all my outings so that I can be home in time for the next feed. As this is rather limiting (and often a logistical nightmare!) I'd really like to have some way I can BF discreetly in public. I do have some BF tops, but it still seems I have to expose myself a bit for the beginning/latching-on part of the process IYKWIM.

Is there a sling that will enable a discreet latch-on??? (I do have a HAB but BFing with it looks rather tricky)

Many thanks! (and I'm very sorry if this has been asked before - I have limited internet access lately and haven't time to check!)

I haven't mastered the art of BF in a sling just yet either - does anyone currently BF with an Ergo? If so, how tricky is it?

Hi I have a BaaBaa sling I have tried others but have to say for me this one has been the best, I breastfed Melissa and Nathan very discretely in it and had arms free to push the trolley. It was awesome for me.

I got a baby sling company ring sling today. I've only used it once for BF and loved it! I could walk around and I didn't need to use a pillow to help me support my bub. Also, she settled straight away after the feed which has never happened before.

I hardly had to hold her while feeding at all, just had to lightly keep her head in the right position so she didn't detatch.

I haven't BF with a sling (yet, just a got a sling and Bubbybean#2 on the way) but I fed bubbybean when he was in the ergo very successfully, I used the hood and just kept an eye on the "flashing factor" but I had no problems at all, and I could walk around and continue shopping and even bidding at auctions!
