I prefer the Manduca to the Ergo, but thats personal preference.

Never risk Ebay as thats where most of the fakes come from, even if the photos are the proper Ergo ones, what you get in the mail may well not be.

Babes in Arms are the Official AU distributor for Ergo and its them that will be at the Expo, so you are guaranteed real from them. They will be able to take you through the different versions.

I loved Ergo from 4 months on with DS1 carried him regularly in it even when older and DS2 was in pram. I love fact can carry on front or back and its comfy. I agree getting it at the expo as you will get genuine then from babes in arms.

I found the ergo really comfy when DD was little and I wore her on the front. It did not fit me comfortably on the back carry, however. I also tried an ergo sport, which was much softer material than the original and had longer straps.
avoid ebay and any website with ergobaby in the name
I tried an olive&applesauce one, which was a bit more comfy on the back, but still not too comfy. I've never tried a manduca, but have heard great things about them. There are certainly a lot of brands to choose from!

I bought an ergo sport when Miss M was around 7mths old. She is now 2y8m and I still use it for her. I find her very comfy on my back now, but when she was little felt that she was going to slide out and was more comfortable using it on my front then.
