I have carried a few children on my back so I am used to the movement required.... but I have my ergo plugged on to my hips and straps loose, pick up baby and scoot her around to my back from my hip and lean forward as she starts to get to the middle of my back. THat means she can't really move anywhere because she is on her tummy on my back quite flat. then I grab both arms and flick the carrier over her back and put my arms through. Tighten the straps and off we go. 'they' recommend doing it on a bed or something soft the first few times. My children got used to the movement after a while and are happy to help me by keeping still!
