I also used my pocket for stuff like my keys etc when bubs was small. And having the pocket to roll it up into is a massive help.

I got a pocketless one as I refuse to pay that much more for a pocket. There is no difference in the function of the wrap. You don't have a different coloured square on the front though... all one colour.
I always need a bag to carry all the stuff required for my boys anyway, the pocket wouldn't be big enough, and it doesn't bother me that it doesn't all fold up nicely with a drawstring. As starrysky said, you can get a little drawstring bag separately if you really want to.

I have one with the pocket and it really doesn't make much difference imo. Yeah it's handy to shove the whole wrap in to store instead of folding it but I ususally fold it anyway with all DS's blankets and things because it looks neater! I also take a bag with me wherever I go too so I really hardly use the pocket. Sometimes I might put my phone in it if I'm expecting a call and we're out somewhere noisy and I wouldn't be able to hear it if it was in my bag...lol

Thanks for your replies. If the pocket's main function is being a bag for the wrap, I think I'll give it a miss. It's an expensive pocket!
If you used it as a real pocket, wouldn't keys and mobile phones dig into the baby?

Keys probably would and for that reason I didn't put mine in there but I have used it for the phone.

I have one with the pocket and I don't think I'd like the pocketless one. I like how it bundles up into it's own little bag very much. I keep it in the car most of the time and it travels with us to places on holidays so it is kept very neat and compact within itself as a unit.
I could imagine if you chucked it in a plastic bag or other bag then you may not be able to find it in a car full of enough stuff for 6 people as easily.
