Making your own sling?

I don't like the HAB so I thought the slings were great! I like ring slings cause they are adjustable, and easy to make.
For me, the most important things were getting the width right (not too wide, not too narrow) and getting the fabric right. Woven cotton does work but I prefer a denser fabric like soft calico or something.
I have even used a sarong on one occaison, but like I said I love slings and am fairly comfortable with them.

Anyone who's interested should Google "Jan Andrea" and "baby sling" to find it. I plan to try making a ring sling based on those directions.
