I have both and love them for different things - a quick run to the shops and I throw on the Peanut Shell, but for longer walks or getting jobs done around the house I pop DS on in the back carry and he's happy and usually asleep for hours!! I was looking at another post about ERGO and someone said they're on special at the moment through Babes In Arms until the end of the month, and I really think you can't go wrong with one. Super comfy!! Good luck

I love my pikkolo, like the ergo as in it is still a SSC but comes in lots of cool fabrics and you don't need an insert. I am not sure how to BF in the Pikkolo though. I think you need both. Could you (or someone) make a peanut shell style sling? That way you will save a few $$$

    Hi,
I haven't tried an Ergo but I looooove my peanut shell. It's easy to put on and much more comfortable than you might think with it over one shoulder- I have muscle problems in my neck and I can still use it very comfortably. It also is very versatile- ds sits in it kangaroo style at the moment (and loves it) but we used it cradle carry when he was younger and we're just about to swap over to hip sit. And, on top of all that, it's reversible and looks really cool (chocolate brown on one side and brown with blue spots on the other).
The only downside is it is not adjustable, so dh can't use it, but I would still highly recommend it.
