    Question Sleepy Wrap Anyone?

    Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Sleepy Wrap baby carrier? Would you recommend it/ are you happy with it? From what I can tell it looks more or less like the hug-a-bub, but it is more affordable. Tossing up whether to take the plunge and do a 'buy it now' on Ebay....

If you're tossing up between HAB and SW, go the Sleepy Wrap. The virtue of the HAB is that it's Australian and made by a WAHM company.
I used one (a borrowed one) with DS and it was great...just got way too stretchy for me to use it from about 4.5 months onwards so we moved on fairly quickly.
My SiL has a SW and loved it, wearing her DS for longer than 6 months. I bought one for my cousin who also loves hers. It's less stretchy...which ends up being a good thing for using it longer.
I would have got one this time round, except I'm ready to go a woven cotton. I hear that woven materials are a bit harder to use if you're using a sling for the first time, so the SW just seems ideal

Thanks Mayaness. Glad to hear the positive feedback. I will def be getting one as I've got that annoying 'cant stop thinking about it until i buy' thing going on.... I'm hoping it will make life so much easier with a toddler....

Not much longer for you now is it? Just spotted your ticker - lol.
Best wishes & go the homebirth!!

    I got one last week!
I am not due till easter but thought it is such an awesome idea especially since my daughter is a dancer & I often take her to competitions on my own. If I have the baby on my chest & my arms free then I don't have to worry about moving the pram from the hall to the changerooms & back constantly. Sometimes she only has 10 minutes or less between dances so can't be stressing about bubs as well.
I was playing with it with one of DD's dolls & took a couple of tries but it works well. Seems fairly stretchy & that was my only concern so being the nut I am, I just went & put it on again then put 3 2L bottles in there & it held really well, it only stretched to hold them, no sagging.
Even though I haven't used it with a baby yet I am definitely happy at this point.

The SW is hands down the best baby related purchase I ever made! It's handy for those quick trips when a pram is too much effort to get in and out of the car. It can take a few goes to tie it at first but once you get the hang of it, it's great. I put mine on before I go out and then all i have to do is pop DS in when we get there. People always comment on it when I'm out and about..they reckon DS looks very comfy!
