I'm actually considering going under the house and finding our old teddy bear stash and see if any are good enough to wrap =P

Hi

DS and I love baby wearing.. I always do a fwcc or a reinforced kangaroo carry, but I find it hurts my neck (Kangaroo carry, not FWCC) Do you think it's the wrap or the carry?

I have a new addiction to woven wraps, so I have sold all my stretchy wraps bar 2 to fund my new woven..

Whee, just had a lovely day out cruising Freo wearing my boy. First on my back and then later on my front, where he snuggled in for a snooze

And so much easier trying to negotiate the markets (which are really crowded) without a bulky pram to contend with.

I am wondering though, has anyone got any suggestions for comfy bags to wear with a carrier? My ergo backpack hooks onto a buckled ssc quite well, not so great with a ring sling or the km, so I've been using a shoulder bag, but can't do it across the body so it gets heavy on the shoulder after a while as it's unbalanced (unlike DS).

I think you can get special bags. Also it's possible to tie them on to the shoulder strap. Weight can be an issue if you're carrying lots of things, though = I tend to use a granny trolley if we're going far afield for any length of time. The nappy bag usually stays in the car, though.

I'm not usually carrying all that much, weight wise. Just a nappy or 2, wet bag and change mat plus my purse, phone and keys. Maybe a toy and a bib as well. If I'm out for a long trip away from the car and back up supplies it's usually with DH who can carry the backpack separately. Might have a search around to see if there's any nice tie shoulder bags so they can be untied and threaded through the shoulder strap.

you can probably jerry rig yourself something - slip a tie under the strap and then tie the bag on that way...? i've never done it, but presume it would work?

I'm on the lookout for a good bum bag to use while bwing, CK.

Lulu - ring sling with tummy to tummy was perfect for DD2 as a newbie, especially for school trips and shops. Actually, I still do it now with all 7 kg of her! Legs out now though. We rarely used cradle.

Well I've scored a beautiful Diva Milano from Suse and I can't wait to get it!

I'm offloading one of my other size sixes to make way. I have a few and just don't need them all. If it doesn't sell I won't be that disappointed though, I wrapped with it yesterday to take this photo and forgot how nice it felt.

Plenty of snuggly babywearing in this cold weather! I'm off to get a bwing jacket I saw in the shops the other day tomorrow.

It has only really just clicked to me that I will basically have a winter bub (even though it is still autumn). so my making sure bub is warm (and me) is pretty high in the priorities. what is this BW jacket? just a jacket that is nice and big and warm? or is it specifically made for bw mummas? I was just thinking my current jackets would go around me fine, but not around me and bub (not done up but wrapped around us so bub will still have head out etc). I think I have 1 that might make it...

just to add on, I guess doubling the wrap would make it warmer...can you do that? or if you have a longer one you can wrap an extra layer?

(im going to have the oppisite problem in 6 months when it becomes way too hot...but one thing at a time =P)
