hun the cheeky little buggers are very efficient when it comes to hiding things in their mouth.. DD2 (also roughly 9mths) was chewing on a piece of apple almost the same size easily for 20min AFTER i thought she had finished.. i was like OMG what's in there.. get it out out out... oh thank god only apple but still it could have gotten stuck.. i was horrified i didn't know.

Take comfort in knowing it must be a trick of theirs.

Oh I really don't enjoy this stage where they stick everything in their mouths. It's not easy. I can completely understand why you couldn't see it either - it is skin coloured to start with and if your little guy is like my kids, they clench their jaws closed if you try and look inside their mouths.

It must have been an incredibly scary experience for you. I'm so glad that it wasn't that serious and you are both okay.

Go easy on yourself, it could have happened to anyone of us
