If you're talking about the 123 Magic Behaviour Tonic couse then I've done that one.
I loved it! It was hard work when I put it into practise at home and I had a massive chat with dh about discipline and how this was going to work. We had some giant tantrums while ds was fighting the new rules but he got it. I think he ended up in time out about 15 times the first day!
Now I have an almost 4yr old, who I can't remember the last time he was in time out. All I have to do is count to 1, possibly 2 if he's in a real snot of a mood and he behaves. I found it more about 'emotion control' rather than anything else. Teaching him to recognise his emotions, acknowledging how he was feeling and working through it rather than acting on them and lashing out with hitting etc.
Hope this has helped. It's not for everyone, not all kids are the same and will respond to the same parenting techniques. You just have to find what works for you and your child.
Whilst time outs didn't suit ds, - the attitude to consistency and guidance of the children behaviour was very good and we apply alot of that to both kids.
We actually worked out that ds needed 25 mins of timeout to calm himself. Any shorter and it would interrupt his 'cooling down' process - but that's just ds.
Give it a go, I found being in a room full of other parents with issues was terrific - you don't feel so alone
