My 13 month old DD has started grinding her teeth, is this normal? I have to take her to the Dr anyway (I think she has hayfever) so I'll ask then anyway but I'm still worried.
HI Nee,
Loads of people grind their teeth and it possibly starts young, but its not until symptoms appear that it is noticed.
You could also think about taking her to see someone that does CranioSacral Therapy, or an Oseteo that does Cranial work as they can do some TMJ releases that will help with symptoms and possibly free up any restrictions in the mouth that may be causing it.
i dont know if its normal or not but my 13mth old dd is doing the same thing and i absolutely hate it!! hope people have some ideas i will be watching this space too..
Aah yes.. Kayla was doing this while cutting her top teeth! It was awful! But I had forgotten about it LOL - so she's obviously stopped. Novelty must have worn off - thank goodness
You can grind your teeth if you have sinus problems (not necessarily the noisy grinding, even just clamping your teeth together is considered grinding) so it could be related to her possible hayfever.
