don't have any advice sorry, but just wanted to reassure you, i'm sure she won't be doing it in six months time... six whole months for a 14 month old is half a life time, literally, so i think it would be unusual for a phase to last so long.... usually their weird and scary habits resolve themselves in a few weeks and then they move on to something new.... i know this doesn't help you in the meantime, but hopefully it is reassuring to think she will grow out of it.
